7th October What a day - on "Sofari" around some of the villages in the north of the constituency. All the sofa surgeries were very well attended despite heavy rain.
Our first stop was Kings Somborne - thank you to the proprietors of the Crown Inn. Not only for letting us use your car park, but for the very welcome coffees! This surgery was so well attended that it went on for longer than planned. Thank you to everyone for waiting patiently.
The next stop was Stockbridge and the car park of the White Hart. Thanks again to the proprietors. The rain was so heavy here that the sofa stayed in the back of the car and the sofa surgeries became 'front of car' surgeries. Despite the weather, this surgery was a great success with people turning out to raise their issues with their MP that once again we overran the allotted time.
The final stop of the day was in Chilbolton - an extremely pretty village. Here the rain did its worst, but Sandra was still able to speak to a few people and now has a new follower on twitter!
